What it is

Monkey Safety Nets, explained

Monkey safety nets use a heavier-gauge, high-tenacity knotted mesh than a standard balcony net, since the barrier has to resist an animal actively pulling, biting and climbing on it rather than just a person leaning against it. We net the full opening — balcony, kitchen window, terrace or open corridor — and reinforce the edges and corners, which are the points monkeys typically test first when looking for a way in.

Heavy-gauge mesh

A thicker knot and higher break-strength cord than standard nets, built to resist pulling and biting.

Full-opening coverage

Balconies, kitchen windows, terraces and open corridors are netted edge to edge, with no gaps at the frame.

Reinforced edges and corners

The points monkeys test first are double-secured so the net doesn't loosen or tear over time.

No cage-like look

Still a fine, low-visibility mesh — your home stays open and bright rather than looking barred in.

Common questions

Monkey Safety Nets FAQ

Is this the same net used for balcony child safety?
No — monkey nets use a heavier mesh and stronger cord, since the net has to resist active pulling and biting, not just accidental contact.
Can monkeys tear through the net?
No mesh is indestructible against a determined, repeated attack, but the heavy-gauge knot we use is specifically chosen to resist tearing and biting far better than a standard safety net.
Do you cover kitchen and utility windows, or only balconies?
Both. Monkeys commonly enter through open kitchen or utility windows, so we assess and net every point of access during the same site visit, not just the balcony.
